History of Satash Community Care
Uniqie, positive and meaningful support for children and adults with learning disabilities
Satash Community Care was founded in 2006 by Logan & Letchmi Logananthan, who had the vision to provide a service for people with learning disabilities/differences that was meaningful, specific, unique and positive to the people using their services.
Excellent customer care is vital to Logan and Letchmi and their idea was to create a care environment that provides individualised, bespoke, person-centred services using person-centric approaches including respect, dignity and cultural identity.
In January 2006 the organisation opened its first residential care setting for four adults with learning disabilities and, in June 2007, it opened a second project to provide further four adults placements.
In January 2013 Satash added a Domiciliary Care service to the list of services being provided and In June 2013 Satash opened its doors to provide a Children/Young People provision / services also for children with disabilities.
Both founders are passionate, proactive and positive about disabled people and through their expertise, skills and dedication they empower their staff team to share the same passion. Satash supports people with learning disabilities/differences to have a good quality of life which is meaningful and dignified, and which enables them to have privacy and freedom of choice so they can be active members of their local communities.
