Residential Services (Adults)

Satash Community Care's two Adult Projects are based in Thurrock, Essex. They both provide 24-hour care for eight people, male and female, with learning disabilities/differences and associated mental health problems. 

The accommodation consists of two four-bedded semi-detached houses, situated in a rural village location with good access to local shops, doctors, libraries, colleges and shopping centres, and has good transport links to other nearby towns. Each home is tastefully decorated to a very high specification developed in consultation with service users. Bedrooms are personal and decorated to the needs of the individual’s taste, whether it is football posters, family photos, pop idols, or cultural and religious icons.

A great get away for our service users

Satash provides an annual holiday for each of its service users. Places such as Turkey, Portugal, Tenerife, Spain, Centre Parcs, Butlins (Bognor Regis), Lake District, Lowestoft and Potters holidays have all been visited by our service users as their preferences. 

Additional holidays or short breaks such as 'Turkey & Tinsel' requested by service users is always accommodated at Satash and service users are supported by a dedicated staff team who understand the need and importance of supporting vulnerable adults to go away on holiday. Following a key inspection, Satash was awarded 'Excellent' (3 stars) for the adult care provided.
