Our staff team is very diverse and has a breadth and depth of experience, knowledge, passion and skills about ensuring people with learning disabilities have the same opportunities as other people. Our dedication will ensure that your needs are met fully and provide you with high levels of care and support.
All our staff team will have full pre-employment checks (DBS) to ensure that our service users are protected and safe at all times. Our staff team will focus on developing standards of excellence and applying them for the comfort and well being of each service user. The organisation is committed to the Investors in People Award and our personnel supporting their professional development, training and career progression. Our service users will be consulted and invited on the interview panel when recruiting new staff. We understand that selecting the right staff and equipping them with the skills and tools they need to do their job is vital. We actively encourage everyone who works for us to always find the best solutions, work within best practices and to share their ideas with others in the company. We recognise the commitment and dedication shown by our staff and celebrate successes, both large and small, running staff member of the month schemes as well as annual rewards. In 2010 Satash achieved a National Award, an Accolade for best employers of (under 250 staff) hosted by Skills for Care. This award is the “Oscars” of social care.
High standard of staff training
Our long standing commitment to train our staff to do their job well and equip them with the skills, knowledge and qualification to deliver consistent quality care with respect and dignity to our service users. The majority of our staff team have the level 3 in Health & Social Care in adults or/and Children however, any new members staff who do not posses this qualification will work towards their QCF level 2 in Health & Social Care within 6 months of being with the organisation. All staff is given induction within 12 weeks of starting their career with Satash Community Care.
